Technical specifications, security protocols, and operational guidelines for the Nexus Market ecosystem.
01. Connectivity
Nexus Market Link operates as an authenticated directory service. We aggregate active, signed V3 onion mirrors to provide a secure entry point to the marketplace infrastructure. Our primary objective is to maintain a verifiable chain of trust between the user and the hidden service, ensuring connection integrity.
V3 Onion addresses utilize ed25519 elliptic curve cryptography. The 56-character string in the URL (e.g., rmnvwgx...) is a cryptographic representation of the service's public key. This ensures that traffic is end-to-end encrypted and can only be decrypted by the server holding the corresponding private key within the Tor network.
Verification is mandatory for security. Import the Nexus Market Public PGP Key into your keyring (GPG/Kleopatra). The market login page presents a timestamped message signed with the administrative private key. Verify this signature against your imported public key. A valid signature confirms the site is the authentic Nexus Market instance.
Onion services may experience latency due to Tor network congestion or DDoS mitigation. If a link times out: 1) Initiate a "New Identity" in Tor Browser. 2) Check our Mirrors Page for alternative entry nodes. 3) Verify your system clock is synchronized, as clock skew can prevent Tor connections.
02. Security Architecture
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) via PGP prevents unauthorized access even if login credentials are compromised. Upon login, the server presents a random encrypted challenge string. This string can only be decrypted by the user holding the associated private key. We strongly advise enabling this immediately upon account creation.
Optimal security involves compartmentalization. Use a dedicated OS like Tails. Disable JavaScript in the browser (Security Level: Safest). Never decrypt PGP messages online; perform all cryptographic operations locally. Never share your withdrawal PIN. Use Monero (XMR) for all financial interactions to sever blockchain analysis links.
Nexus Market operates on a zero-knowledge principle where possible. Messages are auto-encrypted if the recipient has a PGP key. Transaction logs are retained only for the duration of the escrow period (plus a short dispute window) before being permanently purged from the database.
03. Financial Protocol
Nexus supports Bitcoin (BTC), Litecoin (LTC), and Monero (XMR). Monero is the preferred asset for privacy preservation due to its use of Ring Signatures and Stealth Addresses, which obfuscate the sender, receiver, and transaction amount on the ledger.
The Walletless model (Direct Pay) minimizes custodial risk. Instead of depositing funds into a central market wallet, the system generates a unique invoice address for a specific order. The buyer sends the exact amount to this address. Once confirmed on the blockchain, the order status updates automatically. This prevents funds from sitting idle on the platform.
Funds are held in escrow by the market protocol. Release conditions are met when: 1) The buyer manually finalizes the order upon receipt. 2) The auto-finalization timer (typically 7-14 days) expires without a dispute. 3) A dispute is resolved in the vendor's favor. Do not finalize early unless dealing with a highly trusted vendor.
Nexus Market charges 0% deposit fees. A flat withdrawal fee (approx. 1% + network mining fees) applies to outbound transactions to cover mixing services. Vendors are subject to a commission on finalized sales (typically 4-5%), which funds the platform infrastructure and support staff.
04. Governance & Policy
To lower barriers for quality merchants, Nexus currently operates a No Vendor Bond policy for applicants who can prove reputation from other established markets. New vendors without history undergo a strict vetting period and may have escrow times extended until trust is established.
Disputes freeze the escrow timer. Both parties enter a mediated chat room. Evidence such as tracking logs or photos is reviewed. If a mutual agreement (e.g., reship or partial refund) cannot be reached within a set timeframe, a moderator will intervene to issue a binding verdict based on the provided evidence.
Nexus Market enforces a strict harm-reduction policy. Prohibited items include Fentanyl/Analogues, weaponry/explosives, poisons, and any form of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Violations result in immediate account termination and blacklisting across the federated ban network.
